Tips and tricks in DayZ/Arma/Arma 2/OA

Never noticed that if you are sitting down while dropping chemlights it stays on the floor. If you're dropping it this way on the second, third floor, roofs and so, it's not falling through the floors, down under the structure. Guess all kind of "tools" you carry in your hands acting the same way. Now you ain't spoiling your precious gears when you ends up in a situation.

Have a big announcement. If any of you know how to do or where to go for a "randomizer" like MCC or similar to Arma 1 (maybe even CWA)? Please give us a know about about it. Dang good game A1. Too bad you can't use it after the campaign tho. MP against yourself? That or mini scenarios. Not likely.

Was testing Land of the Dead 1.0 Chernarus map in my editor with MCC Beta (Download Armaholic). Have to say that this new totally opened map really can be a nice option for you that want a break or just some chill Arma 2 gaming for a while. The map almost feels new, reborn. Some easy missions like Blufor vs Opfor should be a really fun variety if you want that. Maybe adding something like escorting civilians, taking out power, communications, or what not. And you can add the equipment you need in game. Just choose your team in the editor, then save to singleplayer missions. Start that mission. Arrange your mission. Save. Revert your save. Play.

This is important tho.

When you starting a new mission. Put one spawn map (respawn, unlimited) over all your main map. Think Chernarus is 10,000x10,000, like that. If you overlap the sea? Redo it until you ain't doing that anymore. Ideally is one spawn map. Maybe a few more. If so small once with less activity to them.

The reason is, if you spawning 30 varied groups in one wide spawn map your computer gonna handle that ten times better instead of many smaller independent ones (and you getting complete randomness also). And wait for 2 minutes between you adding next group into the world. That way you spreading the content out and creating delays between the activation of them. If you doing it like this your game should run pretty well.

Just a tip. All in one. Then a few strongholds with concentrated activity. Be clever about it. For an example, a 8,000x 300 area can make it always current but in the same time a very small usage on your performance.

Edit: In Chernarus it is 5,000x5,000 on the x and y axels (spawn map). For you lazy ones out there.
