Serious need some scipting help on a couple of things:
I finally broke down and started to do the simple tutorials posted by others on Armaholic, Bis, youtube, and the arma2 guidebooks on scripting, to help achieve a new game mision/mode.
I'm trying my best not to delve into custom content to make for it,
but I am having trouble getting a HUD to work.
I want a simple Hud , more like what Wasteland has not like what Dayz has.
I tried for days here, to script food/water/bandage use ... I got a simple self heal script to work, with animations , but it never uses my "bandages" portion.
The code I used is on another computer not accessible to the internet or I'd post it ... but i figure I'd replace it , if someone more knowledgeable knew how to do these kinds of items and had better script know how.
I'd also like to know, how to script/make an "extra inventory" for item use like Wasteland or a Life server has.
This also requires, "getting" coded items for such inventory , like food/water from placed objects to go into inventory. ( I also can't get that to work) best I can do is make a "weapon holder" and spawn in a weapon or magazine item.
Lastly ... I need some lighting options, but I can't seem to find roadflares, and chemlights , or even working flashlights outside of any Dayz mod or code. I really, really bad need these lighting options ... as I plan not to include NVGs at all , I want night time exploration to be lit by individuals ...

UP date... I found some older stuff ( the script systems I think original Dayz mod used to build their mod), which gave me most of what I wanted and can use.
Having trouble finding all the class names,but I did find all the working scripts for DAP Stalker Mod after-all. It just wasn't packed right , and did not unzip correctly.
The thing I don't understand is why I can't seem to take basic dayz code mod files, and make a new mission where it uses the interface, inventory, items, system in place , and spawn in items ... or even do a character init switch ...
That way I could mod the map used itself ...
and replace Dayz infected "zombies" with better zombie spawns , and use DAI mission includes modified for my needs.
But I can use this old school stuff ... to basically do it, just isn't as user friendly or nice looking.
