Breaking Point? Hell, no. I ain't going anywhere near that mod.
I took a peek at their code a few months ago and, despite what they say, they do use some big chunks of the dayz mod - therefore breaching the license. They also use a lot of addon content from the modding community - without crediting anyone of course...
My own project will be original for the most part - except for a couple of utility scripts written by others, as well as zombie sounds & animations from dayz if I can get the authorisation to use them.
Worst case scenario, I can't; in that case the mod will probably be released without zombies at first and I'll work on using Charon's zombies instead.
But anyway, the end result should feel pretty similar to DaiZy Factions/2018, except that the whole thing is written from scratch and designed for SP this time. Speaking of that, I've just finished configuring a few modules for Editor mode, those will allow you to enable/disable various features such as :
Hunger & thirst,
Dynamic weather and/or Breathfog for cold weathers,
wrecks/vehicles random spawns,
And maybe more ;)
Zero line code to write, totally compatible with all Arma3 features and missions that can be created in a matter of seconds - nothing like DayZ or BP in that regard! ^^
